Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey
By the will of Zeus, we're back!
Rosie, Ibrahim and Lottie return for another episode of The Chronicle Podcast, this time discussing one of the biggest films of the year—Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey.
With the film now a week into its theatrical run, it's the perfect time to step back from the opening weekend excitement and ask the big question: Does The Odyssey actually deserve all the hype?
Based on Homer's legendary epic poem, the film follows King Odysseus (Matt Damon) as he fights his way across dangerous seas during his ten-year journey home following the Trojan War. Facing mythical creatures, gods, witches and impossible trials, Odysseus battles to return to his wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway), who must keep relentless suitors at bay while waiting for his return.
Featuring an incredible ensemble cast including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal and Zendaya, Christopher Nolan delivers his most ambitious production yet.
The team also debates whether audiences should experience the film in IMAX, with Nolan once again pushing the format to its limits by filming entirely with IMAX cameras.
